Paperback to Laminate Conversion

Soft covered paperback books do not withstand the heavy use they get within the library. They often become worn and tatty due to frequent use. If the book is out of print or in need of strengthening then the only cost effective answer is to have the book re-bound incorporating a digital reproduction of its original illustrated cover. This will maintain the authenticity of the original book whilst strengthening the binding and prolonging its shelf life.

Laminate Binding

All text blocks are fully sewn incorporating calico reinforced endpapers giving the new binding an added durability. A flexible PVA adhesive is then applied to the spine to strengthen the text block.

As library budgets are being reduced a cost effective option for librarians would be to purchase paper backed books instead of the more expensive publishers hardbacks. Utilising our laminate conversion service, librarians will not only save money but will receive a more durable higher specification binding.

Why Use the Hollingworth & Moss Laminate Conversion Service?
