Hollingworth & Moss Bookbinders - History

Founded in 1966 by Michael Hollingworth on the back of a binding deal with Leeds University the company quickly grew from strength to strength establishing binding contracts around the UK. Now 40 years later, Hollingworth & Moss Bookbinders are market leaders. Having rebranded in 2006 under the 'Intelligent Library Solutions' banner this page provides a brief retrospective on the company's history, along with a photo gallery, providing some insight into the early years of the company and of bookbinding in a different era. 1966 Bookbinders established by Michael Hollingworth & Peter Moss in Leeds
     
1980 Hollingworth & Moss becomes a limited company
     
1985 Relocation to new premises in Sheepscar, Leeds  
     
1988 Paul and Richard Hollingworth join their father in the business  
     
2004 Paul and Richard become joint managing directors
     
2005 Purchase of first commercial Kirtas APT 1200 Book Scanner in the UK
     
2005 Maestro 'library binding manager' website is launched to select UK clients  
     
2006 Launch of new 'Intelligent Library Solutions' branding  
     
2006 Appointed official UK resellers for Kirtas Technologies hardware & software
